Another sales model for Taylor Wimpey

This is the latest in a long line of models we’ve produced for Taylor Wimpey, one of the largest house builders in the UK. We’ve been supplying their sales models for many years and they keep coming back to us because of our consistent high quality, attention to detail and the fact that we always deliver on time. If you need a marketing model for your development we’ve got over 20 years of experience in this field so we can give you any advice and guidance you might need to ensure you get the best possible model for your requirements. Don’t hesitate to get in touch, even if it’s just for an informal chat and a rough guide on scale options and costs.

Marketing model for "not-for-profit" housing organization.

Curo, a not-for profit housing developer is one of the largest housing providers in the west of England. This marketing model represents just part of a very large overall site near Bath and is the first time the company has used a model as a promotional tool. The plan is to follow this with additional models as new phases of the site become active. The development is a mix of apartments and houses and includes a large proportion of affordable homes. We used 1:250 scale for this model because it kept the overall size of the base compact but allows us to show a reasonable level of detail.

Another high quality housing model for national house builder.

Taylor Wimpey, one of the largest home builders in the UK, have been regular clients of ours for over a decade and this project was one of three sales models we’ve made for them in the last eight months. At 2.2m long x 1.7m wide it’s an extremely large model so they had to allow plenty of room for it in their sales office, as you can see in one of the pics above. For big developments like this, 1:250 scale is an ideal choice because it allows us to show a good level of detail without the model base becoming too big to be practical. This was an especially challenging project because, apart from having over 350 units, it was also a steeply sloping site which meant we had to accurately model all the levels and contours, including steps, embankments and retaining walls in virtually all the gardens.

Marketing model for national house builder

We recently completed this large model (approx. 2m x 1.5m) for a national house builder but it was actually built in 3 stages as each phase of the development was launched. The main body of the model was built early last year and included the landscaping and road infrastructure of the whole site but only about a third of the houses (representing phase 1 of the development). In the middle of the year we brought the model back to our workshops and added the phase 2 buildings and have now just added the Phase 3 houses to complete the project. The developer uses these models for all of their sites because they are such a useful marketing tool to help sell the houses. We’ve been producing sales models for them for many years and have several more projects in the pipeline for Spring this year.

Interactive update of static model

Originally built as a static model in spring this year, GSK asked if we could add an interactive element to help the model convey a more detailed representation of their sustainable energy and waste treatment processes. Our solution was to add a touchscreen information panel linked to area specific illumination on the model. This is the second major project we’ve completed for the blue chip pharmaceuticals manufacturer GlaxoSmithKline who demand the very highest standards from all their suppliers and sub contactors. The main aim of this model was to demonstrate how the company harnesses biogases from their waste treatment process to fuel a newly installed Combined Heat & Power facility. On the original static model colour coding of the pipes indicated the different stages of the treatment process. The addition of the interactive touch screen and pulsing lights on the model allowed us to create a much more engaging and informative presentation.
