Interactive model for construction industry exhibition.

The initial enquiry for this project came with an image of the radio controlled excavator model you can see in the photo above, asking if we could design and build a model of a construction site suitable for the excavator operate in. For use at an exhibition event in the United States, the aim of the model was to attract visitors to their stand by inviting them to steer the excavator round a timed lap of the site, picking up some pipes along the way. The model was 2.5m long and had to be built in two halves so it would fit into a flight case along with a flat-pack plinth and two RC excavator models (one as a back-up). One of the photos above shows the model packed in the flight case.
